12 Risk Factors

Research data shows various factors that can increase our risk of getting Alzheimer’s. This version is a set of 12 factors used by the charity I support.

I have seen similar versions from different countries that also include factors we just can’t change, such as:

  • Age
  • Gender (I have found contradictory ideas about this!)
  • “A history of….”  for example: depression, diabetes, poverty, low education.

So you will see in my ADVENTURES modeI that I have mostly focused on positive life-style choices that can be adopted and in doing so give us the best chance we have to delay and even avoid this terrible disease.
